Dr Greta Basham
Greta graduated from medical school at Monash University in 2011, before undertaking additional years of training at the Alfred Hospital. Greta always knew she wanted to be a family doctor, completing her GP training and qualifying as a Specialist General Practitioner with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016.
Greta enjoys getting to know her patients and assisting individuals to meet their health goals. She has particular interests in women’s health, Indigenous health, drug and alcohol medicine, mental health, and ensuring her paediatric patients don’t develop doctor-phobias!
Greta performs cervical screening, iron infusions, skin checks and minor procedures. She is certified to assist with family planning activities including Implanon insertion and removals, Mirena removals, and MS2step (medical terminations).
Outside of work, Greta can be found hiking, at a local gig, cooking up a storm, or trying to pat other people’s dogs. She has a very handsome staffy, called Gravy.
